Learning Progress Meetings
Our upcoming Learning Progress Meetings provide a valuable opportunity to focus on your child’s learning progress, and where possible, we encourage students to attend so they can receive feedback and share their reflections.
As a community, we value mutual respect in all interactions, as outlined in our Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct. Communication has been sent to families regarding booking processes.
Our VCE Subject Offerings
Our goal is to ensure that every student can design a personalised learning pathway that reflects their interests, abilities and ambitions.
To provide clarity and reassurance for current and future VCE families and students, we have grouped subjects into the categories below. Please note that if a Unit 1-2 of a VCE subject runs face-to-face for a cohort, it will likely continue running face-to-face for the Unit 3-4 in the following year.
1. Face-to-Face Subjects with No Minimum Class Number
These subjects will always run face-to-face at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Many are pre-requisite subjects for university courses, and we are committed to ensuring students have consistent access to these courses: English, General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Chemistry and Physics.
2. Subjects that are Popular at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ based on Student Choice
These are consistently chosen in high numbers and are almost certain to run face-to-face. They reflect the interests and strengths of our students: Health and Human Development, Biology, Business Management, History, Physical Education, VET Sport and Recreation and Psychology.
3. Subjects that require a Minimum Number
Most subjects do require a minimum enrolment. This is to ensure we balance optimal learning environments with the operational requirements of the College.
Please note that to allow for breadth of offerings our scored Religious Education offerings of Units 3&4 Religion and Society (2026) and Units 3&4 Text and Traditions (2027), run on alternating years unless sustainable enrolment numbers are received for both.
4. Composite Classes
There may be times in which certain specialist classes may need to be combined to enable an offering to run. Any decision to run a composite class has been made following extensive consultation.
Our VCE subject selection process at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ ensures that the subjects available are uniquely curated to the interests of that particular cohort of students.
