Uniform Expectations and Term 3 Uniform Blitzes

Homeroom – Every Connection Matters

This semester, we are strengthening the role of Homeroom as the protected and predictable connection point in every student’s day.

Research consistently shows that positive relationships with teachers are one of the strongest school-based factors influencing a student’s sense of belonging, wellbeing and engagement. Through a simple Daily Check-In 鈥�Breda Bonds鈥�, Homeroom teachers will intentionally connect with students by greeting them by name, using conversation prompts and taking time to notice if someone may need additional support.

These small but meaningful routines help ensure every student feels seen, known and valued. They also allow staff to identify students who may need support, including those who are often quiet or may otherwise go unnoticed.

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)

Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) framework continues to guide the way we support students across the College. Throughout the term, students will continue to be encouraged to demonstrate our core values of Responsibility, Respect and Resilience in all aspects of school life. Consistent expectations across classrooms help students understand what positive behaviour looks like and contribute to a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

This term, the College will continue to reinforce our uniform expectations through several planned uniform blitzes. These checks help ensure students are wearing the correct uniform throughout the school day and promote consistency across the College.

We ask families to support their child by ensuring they attend school in the correct uniform each day. Please check that:

• Students are wearing the correct 蓝莓视频 logo pants.
• The approved College outer garment is worn to and from school.
• Jewellery complies with the College Uniform Policy (one sleeper or one stud per ear).
• Hair ties and accessories are in the approved school colours.

We appreciate your continued support in helping us maintain high standards and a strong sense of pride in our College community.

Pastoral Program

Students across all year levels participated in a range of age-appropriate Pastoral Program sessions designed to support their wellbeing, personal development and life skills.

This week’s sessions include:

• Year 7: Stand Up Project – recognising friendship conflict, mean-on-purpose behaviour and bullying, while developing the skills to be safe and effective Upstanders.
• Year 8: Toolbox Education – Thinking Traps: challenging anxious and unhelpful thoughts.
• Year 9: Pat Cronin Foundation – education and awareness to End the Coward Punch.
• Year 10: Financial Literacy – developing practical skills in budgeting, saving, spending wisely and making informed financial decisions to support their future independence.
• Year 11: Student Leadership Application Process for 2027. Students applying for College leadership in 2027 presented their vision, values and hopes for the future of 蓝莓视频 as part of the College Captain application process. Their presentations highlighted the passion, courage and commitment of our emerging student leaders.
• Year 12: On the Ropes – an educational theatre production exploring respectful relationships, personal rights and available support services.

These sessions form an important part of our commitment to educating the whole person and supporting students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Child Safe Standards Focus

This week our Child Safe Standards focus is Child Safe Standard 3 – “Children and young people are empowered about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously.”

At 蓝莓视频, we are committed to ensuring every student knows they have the right to feel safe, to express their views and to seek support when needed. We encourage students to speak with a trusted adult if they have concerns and continue to create opportunities for young people to contribute to decisions that affect their school experience.

Working in partnership with families, we aim to build a community where every student feels heard, respected and empowered.
